Elena Habicher (38): A city guide for families.

The idea of Family First – a city guide for families and kids, was born out of a personal need: “There are no perfect parents. We all need inspiration and ideas on things to do with our kids” says Elena Habicher (38), the mom of Alissa (5) studied Finance and Arts. She thinks that her homepage should not only be an inspiration: just as important as providing ideas, is important to provide a platform for exchange.

“At first I was thinking about Family First as a print publication” says Zurich mom. But soon she changed her mind as in discussions with other parents she realized that the most parents preferred a website to a print magazine.

Before launching Family First project Habicher had a business plan. This helped her to learned about the strengths and weaknesses of her project. “In real life, however, you have to stay flexible” smiles Habicher, as in the meantime there have been same changes in her family life – in November she expects a second baby.
