Chocolarium Maestrani for families and kids

When looking for an unforgettable experience as a family in Switzerland, think of Chocolarium Maestrani. This one of the oldest chocolate factories in the German part of Switzerland offers great tours, courses and events designed especially for families and kids. We have just visited the factory and we are still talking about it!

Chocolarium Familienausflug

From our experience, the perfect starting point for exploring the Maestrani factory is to attend a chocolate making workshop. You can choose from a variety of chocolate making classes and special events. You will be able not only to craft some amazing chocolate masterpieces to take home but also to learn about chocolate and how it is made. Master Chocolatier will give insights into chocolate making techniques and teach you some amazing decorating tricks.

Afterwards, you will be taken to a factory tour which is an absolutely unforgettable experience. You will be guided through countless rooms where imagination and innovation bring the world of chocolate to life. You will learn about the history of the Maestrani and take bites of a freshly made chocolate on the way, and of course, will watch the whole chocolate production line at work.

Chocolarium ist ein perfektes Familienausflugsziel

If you choose one of the Globi events, you will be amazed at your children looking this excited when they meet their idol. Those events are very popular so we advise booking in advance. But Chocolarium is opened 7 days a week almost through the whole year which makes it ideal for spontaneous visits too. You can always take a self-guided tour (Audio-App) or enjoy the Globi corner at the cafe. And if love hiking as much as chocolate, you can even hit the Schoggiweg trail and enjoy a nice 45min walk from the factory to the train station Flawil.
