Together with other family bloggers from Switzerland, we had the opportunity to visit Locarno with kids and experience this wonderful city in a family-friendly way. Here are some of our #ticinomoments with a list of family activities in Locarno.
Things to do with kids in Locarno
Falknerei – Link.
A breathtaking show demonstrating falconry featuring falcons, giant owls, eagles, a huge vulture and other wild birds. You will learn about the history of falconry and will see some predator birds in action. A very exciting experience especially for kids seeing the birds up close, also when they fly really low over your head and actually touch you with their wings. Aftershow the show, kids can take a picture with one of the birds or have a short pony ride.
Llama Trekking (Centovalli) – Link.
A high quality, unique and very relaxing experience for the whole family. You will learn that llamas are gentle, agile and elegant animals, they are easy to handle and great fun to be with. You will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of Ticino region, nature and local wildlife, and to enjoy a perfect llama-accompanied family adventure. Kids can lead and bond with their own llama, and you will be amazed seeing them so calm and focused on the experience. Very friendly owners will tell stories and answer all your questions and make your wilderness adventure even more enjoyable.

Lido – Link.
A beautiful and modern public Pool directly on the lake with a spectacular view. It has several outdoor and indoor pools, kids pools and slides, spa and sauna. Grassy areas for sunbathing and play make it a perfect Badi in summer. (Image ©lidolocarno.ch)
Adventure Park Gordola – Link.

Cardada – Link.
