Breast milk pumping in Switzerland, sadly, is a controversial topic. It still considered embarrassing or taboo talking about it. People often assume breast pumping is something unnatural and cannot be considered as breastfeeding. Pumps are being associated with pain or as a solution for nursing problems. A lot of moms feel that pumping devices are bizarre, humiliating and exhausting. Despite the fact that mothers in Switzerland have to go back to work after 3 months, a lot of moms struggle to pump their milk at work and as a result, decide to stop breastfeeding at all.
