Have you ever thought it would be great watching your kids in the room next door while cooking in the kitchen? I did! I thought about it many times especially when I heard my kids screaming, but when I ran into their room like a mad chicken, I saw them peacefully playing as if nothing ever happened there before. That’s why I got so excited when I discovered the Netgear Arlo Baby monitoring camera, so I decided to give it a real-overprotective-mom test.
I can endlessly talk about its adorable design and all the things it can do, and all the fun factors you can experience with this camera. You can not only monitor the kids and talk back to them but also check the temperature of the room, zoom in to get a closer look and even play and record your own music or voice with an excellent quality (I have recorded my own good night stories). You can use the monitor’s night viewing capabilities and LED light show to record rare moments and take screenshots from the videos.
It’s also possible to give access to your family members and make them feel being nearer to the kids. If you have other rooms to monitor, you can expand this system to accommodate more cameras and watch different places simultaneously on a smartphone or a tablet.
Considering that my kids are not that little anymore and have five years age difference, I need something more than a regular baby phone, more like a security camera where I can see and talk to my kids while I’m cooking or working, or taking a bath, or when I’m away. For that purpose, Arlo Baby is working perfectly for me. One downside, the camera has a little delay, depending on the WiFi network 1-2 seconds, but for me it worked fine.
All in one, Arlo Baby is a useful camera and it’s a lot of fun to have.
