I’ve always been irritated by seeing the dirt under the table and hair on the floor. I would constantly vacuum or collect it from the floor by hand. I remember once my older daughter told me: “Mom, we need a Roomba!”. I looked sceptical because I even didn’t know what it was. She explained: “It’s a vacuum robot. Mom of Mari has one and it’s the coolest thing ever!” Now, a year later, I got a chance to test one of the iRobot Roomba models and I must say, my daughter was right, it’s such a useful thing to have!
There is quite a range of Roombas on the market, at different price ranges and with different features. I`ve got iRobot Roomba i7 (Link) and it seems to perfectly fit our needs – our apartment has a combination of wood flooring, tiles, carpets and many pieces of furniture. Not to mention, we have a toddler and a teenager dog, both like to leave a lot of mess on the floor! My Roomba is managing to clean our floors very well. The suction power is great and it fits under almost our furniture. Through the iRobot Home app, you can control your Roomba and tell it what to do. You can also tell your robot to stay away from certain areas or objects.
Among many useful features, the most important for me is that I decide where it cleans and when and my Roomba can be scheduled to run at certain times on different days of the week. I can let it run while I’m at work or out with the kids. I love to come home to clean floors and at the same time have less stress with cleaning.
