Christmas Photo Advent Calendar DIY

Combine your advent calendar and holiday garland into one stunning photo display with this easy idea, which features mini round coasters as Christmas ornaments!

Why coasters? They have a perfect shape and weight; they look elegant and the quality of the print is great. I found my coasters on *smartphoto.ch that have a lot of amazing photo products for a lovely Christmas gift or decoration (you can get 30% on all your purchases with smartphoto.ch – LINK).

My craft ideas are usually impossibly easy. This Christmas DIY will take a few hours of family fun and won’t break the bank. The only thing you will need is a little preparation – you will need to order photo coasters approximately one week in advance, get twine, hot glue and collect some pinecones and pine branches.

To make: Hot glue pine cones, coasters and length of twine for hanging. Use an extra-long tree limb as a platform for displaying ornaments. Fix together the swags of greenery and the tree limb with twine. Then knot loops of twine around the branch and hang it on the wall hooks. Layer pinecones and coasters on top of greenery. Adorn your creation with any Advent garland to count down the days till Christmas.

This DIY method will also work perfectly for a festive tabletop chandelier or a door wreath.
