We have been to several family hotels already, but I always wanted to visit the one I heard so much about. As a result, we spent a long weekend in Hotel Feuerstein Nature Family Resort in Southtyrol and had the most pleasant stay. Here is our family time in Hotel Feuerstein story!
By arriving and seeing the hotel from outside already gave me so much excitement to my long awaited weekend. Hidden in the middle of the mountains surrounded by nature this hotel looked like a modern natural oasis. Welcomed very warmly by the hotel team and smiling children playing at the reception we were taken to our room which made us jump “Wow!” when we saw an amazing view from our balcony. Then there were more “Wows” when we went down to see all those unbelievable facilities for kids and grown-ups: family spa area, adults-only 3 floor spa area, several pools, water slides, different indoor and our door playgrounds, we just couldn’t wait to try everything out. Later on at the dinner, we were served with excellent food and wine, the kids were running around, screaming and laughing, and it felt like one big family gathering where everyone was having a great time.
The next day we took our kids to the Kids’ Zone, luckily everything went without tears. Our 6yo was excited about meeting new friends and hiking plans, and the 1yo was immediately taken to the polenta playground which did the trick. Finally, my husband and I were left alone and could just enjoy the spa and the quiet lunch. Everything was fabulous, except for that I missed my kids like crazy! Believe me or not, I just couldn’t wait to pick them up and to go through all those cool facilities trying them out one by one together with my 2 darlings.
The next day, and for the rest of our stay, we were doing things together, and it really was great. My 6yo had managed to teach me proper water jumping, and I had finally managed to get her into the sauna! Swimming, playing, jumping (jumping even in the straw) we couldn’t get enough of those outdoor and indoor activities. And in the evening the kids were playing with other children while we could just chill sipping wine and just enjoy.
What was different to other family hotels we have been so far is that being a luxury family hotel, hotel Feuerstein is focusing not only on excellent service and great food but also on nature and balance. It has equally a lot to offer to everyone for bonding together as a family and for spending quality time alone. Honestly, I was so sad that our long weekend turned out to be so short. Next time we will stay longer! Much longer!
