Discover Switzerland with Phil & Teds Escape

If you follow us on social media, you probably remember our road trip to Grimselwelt this summer. I got a lot of private messages from moms asking tips about hiking in the area and about the child carrier they saw me wearing. Absolutely, Grimselwelt was amazing and indeed it was much easier to discover Switzerland with Phil & Teds Escape, the coolest backpack for little hikers and big adventures!

Grimselwelt (Link) has a lot to offer for families with kids, however, we didn’t really plan to do strenuous hikes but just enjoy the weekend and have a quality time as a family. One day we hiked around the Gelmer Lake, another we tried to get to the Trift bridge but found the track a bit difficult so we turned down and went to see Aare Gorge. The day after, on the way back, we stopped on the Grimsel Pass and just enjoyed Grimsel Lake hiking around the area. Our 6yo was walking everywhere along and the little one we carried in our Phil & Teds Escape backpack.

I find PHIL & TEDS Escape (Link to the retail store) is just perfect for us. I always wanted to have a backpack that looks less sporty, something that would visually comfort me to wear it even in the city. It`s super comfortable and easy to use, and it seems that our little daughter loves it too. It has a lot of pockets and space for storage. It also comes with foot stirrups that allow the little feet to rest. It`s safe and has a well-designed sun protection that can be easily adjusted on top of the carrier and that can perfectly protect your child from the sun, which is so important. What I also like is that it has a removable bag that you or your partner can wear separately.

A tipp: We usually carry a small pillow with us, just to make sure it`s comfortable for our little one to fall asleep while sitting in the backpack

Adventures hiking, rock climbing and hopping, finally so much more is possible, which was not save to do with the baby carrier. Im guessing the backpack can be used for children from 6m to 3,5yo. So that means we still have a bit of time to just enjoy carrying our baby along everywhere we go without thinking “Where is she gone again!?”.
