That’s is why we like our Tigerbox TOUCH

Growing up with audiobooks myself I love my children to discover a world of the spoken word to its fullest. I used different media and Apps but not even one was satisfying enough. That’s why I’m so pleased to tell my readers about the new product Tigerbox TOUCH – a digital audiobook and song player with more than 3000 audio titles for every child from 3 to 12 y.o. – Link.

I cannot describe the excitement of my daughters when we discovered the stories of their favourite heroes all in one place: Bibi & Tina, Bibi Blocksberg, Miraculous, Spirit, Conni and a big Disney collection. The biggest highlight was to find a lot of audio titles in Swiss German and the biggest fun part was to learn new songs and productions like goodnight songs, party songs (like Schwiizer Kiddiesand for example – Link), and educational audiobooks about many interesting subjects like sea life and the world.

There are 2 ways to use Tigerbox TOUCH. One is to connect it to Tigertones App, a digital content provider with the monthly App subscription for unlimited use (through the App with a paid subscription) or to use Tigercards as a subscription for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months or just like noirmal CDs (one play card 11.90CHF) and create your own audio collection. The children can easily manage Tigerbox TOUCH themselves witout any mobile diveces or even WiFi. Besides all the great features like easy set-up and control, search, timer, fast download and much more, this what I appreciate the most is that you can switch off the WiFi on directly the box and still use all the audios and features without exposing your children to the WiFi radiation.

Tiger Media is growing very fast. For the start, there are 3 tigerbox TOUCH colours to choose from: purple, black and green. With over 4500 library titles already, they are planning to release about 25 new cards and more than 100 new audio titles each year. Also, there will be more audio releases in Swiss German – Chinderlieder, Felix, Globi and Papa Moll!

Maybe listening to a book is not the same as reading it but audiobooks are more emotionally engaging than TV and films, they help grow imagination and have a greater impact on children. It’s especially important when it comes to YouTube and video games, audiobooks and songs are a wonderful way to keep kids entertained also when adults are busy. During a trip, you can leave your Tigerbox TOUCH at home, because your children can still listen to their favourites Tigertones streaming directly from the App on your mobile phone (With App subscription).

There is nothing much I’m really missing in Tigerbox TOUCH. It’s been such enrichment, my girls are listening to their Tigerbox every single day and this despite their age difference. I will definitely have to think about getting a second box since one App subscription can be assigned to three Tigerboxes at a time.

Zurich by bike, by a first bike

I don't remember how I got my first bicycle. I think I was seven. I vaguely remember my father running after me, holding the bike. During the long summer holidays, on the dusty roads of a Central Asian metropolis through the shimmering heat of 40 degrees, my bike became my best friend. Now, decades later I put my child on… Read more
